Thermal Insulation Coatings

In industry, we find surfaces that reach high temperatures. Thermal insulation is mainly used to ensure protection for working personnel and to reduce energy losses.

• Personal Protection

The generally accepted temperature limit for surfaces is 60°C within 5 seconds. According to ASTM C1057, at this temperature the skin begins to experience first degree burns; for this reason, all surfaces at higher temperatures within areas accessible to workers must be insulated.

• Reduction of Energy Losses

Thermal insulation increases process productivity by reducing heat losses, improving plant operation and extending the life cycle of equipment.
